Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers Confident He’ll Bounce Back Vs. Ravens

Can Rodgers rebound from last week's rough performance?

Last week, Aaron Rodgers endured one of his worst games of the season at the worst possible time. With the Pittsburgh Steelers needing a win against the last-place Cleveland Browns to clinch the AFC North, Rodgers floundered, completing just 21 of his 39 pass attempts for 168 yards and no touchdowns.

He had a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, too, but threw three straight incompletions on the goal line, sealing the Steelers’ fate in an ugly 13-6 road loss.

Now, Pittsburgh must beat the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18 to secure a playoff spot. If the Steelers lose, their season is over.

Fortunately for Pittsburgh, Rodgers is confident he’ll bounce back on Sunday in what could be the last game of his illustrious NFL career.

“If you look at my career, I haven’t put together a lot of stinkers back to back over the years,” Rodgers told reporters on Wednesday. “Same mindset every week, same approach. Just expect greatness. When it doesn’t happen, just shift up the plan and keep on going. Trust the process.”

Rodgers has bounced back from plenty of down games throughout his NFL career, including several this season. It also helps that he played well against the Ravens in Week 14, racking up a season-high 284 passing yards against them in the Steelers’ 27-22 victory.

Baltimore’s defense has allowed at least 24 points in four of its last five games, putting Rodgers in a good spot to play well at home. He’s flourished in dozens of big games throughout his career and is 8-3 in the regular season in January, so Pittsburgh fans are hoping he has one more clutch performance up his sleeve with the season on the line.
