NFL Writer Highlights Steelers Flaw That Could Derail Their Super Bowl Chances

'While the offense has found a groove of late'

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a chance to secure a playoff spot this weekend, depending on the outcome of two key games. They can clinch if the Baltimore Ravens lose to the Green Bay Packers on Saturday or if they beat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

As the Steelers approach securing a postseason spot, it’s essential to examine some of the flaws that could hinder their chances of winning the Super Bowl.

Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon highlighted the Steelers’ lack of explosive plays as a concern that could hinder Pittsburgh in the playoffs.

“While the offense has found a groove of late, the Steelers still have a fairly clear offensive ceiling with 42-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers and a scarcity of weapons,” Gagnon wrote on Friday. “Only six offenses have gained 20-plus yards on fewer plays than Pittsburgh. DK Metcalf’s suspension doesn’t help.”

The Steelers need to focus on improving their explosive plays if they want to reach the Super Bowl this season. In many playoff games, teams often need to pull off a few big plays to secure a win, as defenses are typically top-notch.
