NFL Mock Draft Has Steelers Selecting WR To Complement DK Metcalf

Pittsburgh has to bring in a solid No. 2 receiver this offseason

The Steelers should consider adding a No. 2 wide receiver in the upcoming offseason, and the most effective way to achieve this might be through the NFL Draft.

Aaron Rodgers or a new quarterback could benefit from a talented rookie playmaker. Gordon McGuinness of Pro Football Focus mocked the Steelers’ drafting wide receiver Denzel Boston on Monday.

“The city of Pittsburgh will be hoping for a franchise quarterback as their pick is announced from the Steel City, but with the top two off the board, they opt for another big need: wide receiver,” McGuinness wrote.

“In 2025, Boston earned an 89.7 PFF overall grade against man coverage, caught 76.9% of contested targets and dropped just 3.1% of catchable targets thrown his way.”

Boston played four seasons for the Huskies and wrapped up an impressive year, recording 881 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns over the course of 12 games.

Pittsburgh’s offense could see a significant boost by adding a player like Boston, who could be the game-changer the Steelers have been searching for at the receiver position.
