Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers likes how the team is practicing ahead of their stretch run.
The Steelers are currently atop the AFC North and are set for a pivotal game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Heading into Pittsburgh’s road game against the Lions, Rodgers likes how the Steelers have been playing and practicing as of late.
“The execution has been better at practice the last couple weeks,” Rodgers said on Wednesday. “Again, that doesn’t translate to wins. We’ve had many over my years, many poor practice weeks and excellent execution on game day. But I do believe it’s easier to play well on Sunday or game day when you have your week of practice. So, we have trended in the right direction.
“There’s a way that good teams practice late in the season. We’re starting to resemble that.”
Rodgers knows the Lions will be a tough out, as Detroit is currently outside of a playoff spot. So, the Steelers quarterback knows how important practice is this week, as Rodgers said Pittsburgh needs to be well-prepared.
