The Steelers will need to improve their No. 2 receiving spot this offseason, and the best way to do so might be through the NFL Draft.
There could be a handful of good receivers coming out in the 2026 NFL Draft, including Carnell Tate from Ohio State and Jordyn Tyson from Arizona State.
In a recent mock draft released on Monday, Mike Renner of CBS Sports has the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting USC wide receiver Makai Lemon with the 20th pick.
“The Biletnikoff Award winner slots into an offense in desperate need of a reliable No. 2 receiver,” Renner wrote. “Lemon may be the most reliable receiver in the entire draft class, with only a 2.8% drop rate for his entire career.”
Lemon had an impressive season, recording 79 receptions for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns over 12 games. If the Steelers manage to draft Lemon, he could emerge as the best receiver to complement DK Metcalf. With his exceptional route-running skills, Lemon has a knack for getting open and making plays.
