The Pittsburgh Steelers received quite the boost prior to their matchup with the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.
Darnell Washington, who suffered a concussion in last Sunday’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, cleared concussion protocol on Sunday. The Steelers announced that he is expected to play in the primetime matchup, despite being limited throughout the week of practice.
Washington, 24, has not missed a game this season, in which he has become one of their most important pieces in the running game and has chipped in with 23 catches for 288 yards — including one touchdown receptions back in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Pittsburgh still lists defensive lineman Derrick Harmon (knee) as questionable, while cornerback James Pierre (calf), offensive lineman Andrus Peat (concussion), and linebacker T.J. Watt (lung) have already been ruled out.
