The Pittsburgh Steelers continued their midseason swoon in Week 13, falling 26-7 to the Buffalo Bills at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.
The Steelers struggled on both sides of the ball en route to their fifth loss in their last seven games. The defense completely unraveled in the second half after allowing just three points before halftime, while the offense failed to score in the second half.
Pittsburgh endured one of its worst offensive performances of the Mike Tomlin era. Aaron Rodgers played poorly in his return from injury, completing just 10-of-21 passes for 117 passing yards and failing to throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season.
After the game, Rodgers called out his receivers for contributing to his ugly outing, blaming them for missing film sessions and running the wrong routes.
“When there’s film sessions, everyone shows up. And when I check to a route, run the right route. Jonnu and I just weren’t on the same page,” Rodgers told reporters during his postgame press conference.

It’s true that Rodgers hasn’t gotten much help from his receivers this year aside from D.K. Metcalf. That said, age and injuries haven’t helped his accuracy.
The 41-year-old has now thrown for just 394 passing yards over his last three games combined, so he also deserves some blame for the Steelers’ offensive struggles. He and Pittsburgh’s receivers need to get on the same page soon, before it’s too late.
