DK Metcalf Reveals Key Aspect Of Steelers’ Offense That Has Improved

Metcalf believes Pittsburgh's offense is improving

Things haven’t been going all that well for the Pittsburgh Steelers as of late, as they have lost two of their past three games to lose control of the AFC North division. And despite that, star wide receiver DK Metcalf believes that, at least on the offensive side of the ball, the team has made some improvements.

With a slew of new faces leading the offense, it was always going to take a while for this group to get on the same page. 11 games into the season, though, Metcalf believes things are beginning to come together for Pittsburgh on offense, as he highlighted how the unit’s communication has gotten better as of late.

“The communication aspect has gotten a lot better since Aaron and Mason have been running meetings or speaking up more at meetings,” Metcalf said on Wednesday. “Whatever they see out there on the field, we try to do our best to bring that to life.”

Scoring points hasn’t been Pittsburgh’s problem this season; rather, keeping their opponents from scoring has been the issue. Even without Aaron Rodgers on the field last week, the Steelers scored 28 points against the Chicago Bears, which typically would be enough for most teams to come out on top. The problem was that their defense allowed 31 points, which led to another tough loss.

If the offense can hit another level like Metcalf seems to believe it is capable of reaching, though, it could help offset some of the team’s defensive struggles. Pittsburgh will look to get back in the win column in Week 13 when it faces off against the Buffalo Bills in a pivotal matchup.
