Steelers’ Cam Heyward Praises Josh Allen Before Week 13 Game

'He's the closest thing to a superhero'

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Josh Allen leading the Buffalo Bills into a Week 13 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers must combat the reigning MVP when they host the Bills this Sunday. Cam Heyward knows it’s no easy task for his defense.

Pittsburgh’s star defensive tackle paid a lofty compliment to Allen ahead of their showdown, per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor.

“Josh doesn’t want to play superhero ball, but he’s the closest thing to a superhero in our game,” Heyward said. “He can make a lot of things happen and it’s athletic ability, that’s arm talent. You name it, he’s got it.”

Allen is having another Herculean season under center for the Bills. The 29-year-old has garnered a career-high 69.7 completion percentage and 8.3 yards per pass attempt with a 101.6 quarterback rating.

Through 11 games, Allen has already solidified his third straight season with double-digit rushing touchdowns. He’s paired those 10 rushing scores with 18 passing touchdowns for the 7-4 Bills.

Buffalo doesn’t have the most decorated group of wide receivers, but the Bills still rank third in total offense under Allen’s stewardship. Yet he’s fallen behind Matthew Stafford and Drake Maye in the MVP race, and the New England Patriots are close to reclaiming the AFC East crown.
