The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to stop their recent free fall in Week 13. Unfortunately for them, they will draw a tough matchup against the Buffalo Bills when they return to action, and ahead of this important contest, their opponent has made a pair of roster moves geared towards improving their offensive production.
Similar to the Steelers, the Bills have been struggling as of late, and the front office has decided to make some changes. On Tuesday, the team signed veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks to their active roster after he was released by the New Orleans Saints. In order to make room for him, though, the team had to move on from former second-round wide receiver Elijah Moore.
Moore suited up for nine games this season, but he caught just nine passes for 112 yards during his time on the field. The team will be hoping to get more out of Cooks, but he hasn’t been much better this season. In 10 games with the Saints, Cooks caught 19 passes for 165 yards, despite that offense being very short on proven playmakers.
The game plan won’t need to be changed drastically for the Steelers, but considering how Cooks was signed directly to the active roster, it seems like he will immediately be a factor on offense for the Bills. Kickoff for this game is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET, and Pittsburgh will be desperate to get back in the win column and keep the pressure on the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.
