Mike Tomlin Provides Encouraging Update On Aaron Rodgers’ Injury Status

'I anticipate him being ready for next week'

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost 31-28 to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, and the main reason for their defeat was the absence of Aaron Rodgers, who was unable to play.

Rodgers suffered a left wrist injury last Sunday, and even though he wanted to try to play this week, the Steelers kept him out.

However, head coach Mike Tomlin shared encouraging news about Rodgers, suggesting he could return next week.

“I anticipate him being ready for next week,” Tomlin said on Sunday about when he thinks Rodgers will return.

Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph stepped in for Rodgers on Sunday, completing 24 of 31 passes for 171 yards, along with one touchdown and one interception.

The Steelers are going to need Rodgers back this upcoming Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Both teams are currently in second place in their divisions, and the only way forward at this point could be to secure a wild-card playoff spot. The outcome of Sunday’s game could significantly impact either team’s chances of making that happen.
