The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 34-12 on Sunday, but they lost quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a wrist injury in the process.
Rodgers exited the game late in the first half after injuring his left wrist on a big hit. He did not return in the second half, leaving Mason Rudolph to finish the job against their division rivals.
According to initial reports, Rodgers is believed to have suffered “a slight break” of his left wrist. He’s scheduled to undergo additional testing on Monday.
Despite his condition, the four-time NFL MVP is still “pushing to play” in next Sunday’s road game against the 7-3 Chicago Bears, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
According to Rapoport, Rodgers has not been ruled out yet and “was described as 50-50 for Sunday.” His status will be based on his ability to grip a football and his potential risk of further injury.

The 41-year-old has not missed a game since 2023, so it’s not surprising that he wants to play. It’s also an important game for the Steelers, who lead the AFC North by just one game over the surging Baltimore Ravens.
More information on Rodgers’ status will come out later on Monday, making this a situation to monitor for Pittsburgh fans. If he can’t suit up, Rudolph will likely start in his absence after completing 14 of 18 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals.
