The Steelers should consider adding another wide receiver before Tuesday’s trade deadline. According to The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley could be a great addition to the team.
“At 6-1 and 190 pounds, Ridley could add size and an explosive element to the Steelers offense,” DeFabo wrote on Thursday. “He’s surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark three times in his career, including in 2020, when he made 90 catches for 1,374 yards. His solid frame helps him in contested-catch situations and his athleticism makes him a threat after the catch. Ridley has two more years remaining on a four-year, $92 million deal he signed in 2024.”
The Titans could be looking to sell players, as they currently hold a 1-7 record, but Ridley might not be a player they want to part with.
Tennessee is working with rookie quarterback Cam Ward, who will need all the support he can get to succeed. Letting go of Ridley could hurt the Titans’ receiving corps, potentially stunting Ward’s development.
However, if the Titans decide to trade Ridley, he could make a solid No. 2 receiver alongside DK Metcalf.

Ridley missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, but in the first six games of the season, he recorded 16 receptions for 290 yards.
The Steelers need to make a bold move before the deadline, especially since quarterback Aaron Rodgers is 41 and on a one-year contract. Adding a receiver like Ridley could significantly boost their offense.
