The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, a game that is of great importance to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The 41-year-old quarterback spent 18 seasons with the Packers, and Pittsburgh cornerback Jalen Ramsey understands how crucial this Sunday’s matchup is for Rodgers.
“If it’s important to him, then it’s important to all of us,” Ramsey said on Friday when reporters asked him if there’s more meaning to this game since Rodgers is going up against his former team.
“We treat it like that for anybody who has a game against one of their former teams. We’re like a family in here. We are together more than we are with our family during the season. If it’s important to him, then it’s important to us.”
Rodgers hasn’t played for the Packers since 2022 and didn’t face them with the New York Jets, so this will be his first matchup against Green Bay. However, Rodgers isn’t approaching this game with any thoughts of revenge.

“I don’t have any animosity toward the organization,” Rodgers said on Wednesday, via PennLive’s Nick Farabaugh. “Obviously, I wish that things had been better in our last year there, but I have a great relationship with a lot of people still in that organization. This is not a revenge game for me.”
The Steelers want to bounce back after their Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on “Thursday Night Football.” With some extra rest under their belts, they’re eager to shake off the negativity from last week’s game and get back on track.
