Jalen Ramsey impacted Sunday’s game in a different way for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
With a hamstring putting his status in question, an active Ramsey made his mark in a 23-9 win over the Cleveland Browns. The star cornerback collected two of the defense’s six sacks at Acrisure Stadium.
After the game, per 93.7 The Fan, Ramsey reflected on his memorable Week 6 performance.
“I’m gonna probably tell my kids about this,” Ramsey said. “I played in a game with T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett, and I had two sacks. That’s crazy.”
Ramsey noted that he never had a two-sack game in his career before Sunday. The 30-year-old entered Week 6 with three sacks in 139 games.

Watt registered three quarterback hits and a combined sack with Alex Highsmith, bolstering his season tally to 3.5. On the other hand, neither Garrett nor anyone on the Browns sacked Aaron Rodgers on Sunday.
Ramsey also helped the Steelers contain rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel to 221 passing yards on 52 attempts. Courtesy of ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, head coach Mike Tomlin praised the All-Pro’s versatility after the game.
“We certainly wanted to make sure that he could impact the game,” Tomlin said of Ramsey. “I cannot say enough about Jalen Ramsey. This guy plays outside corner, he plays nickel, he plays free safety. He is exactly what we hoped he would be and certainly he was significant today.”

Meanwhile, Rodgers commended Ramsey for playing despite the injury when other veterans would have sat with a “Thursday Night Football” game on the horizon.
“For Jalen to go out there with everything he’s accomplished in this league, I just can’t say enough about the level of respect I have for him,” Rodgers said. “…If there was any question about the type of person that he is, take away the incredible player, but person and teammate, I think he just showed all of us the kind of guy that he is by going out there and playing today.”
Ramsey will look to create more lasting memories when the Steelers play the Cincinnati Bengals this Thursday.
