Aaron Rodgers will have his hands full when combating one of the NFL’s most dangerous defenders this Sunday.
The 41-year-old quarterback leads the Pittsburgh Steelers into a Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Rodgers will encounter Myles Garrett in his first AFC North contest of the 2025 season.
Ahead of the division showdown, Rodgers had lofty praise for Garrett during Wednesday’s press conference.
“Myles is a Hall of Famer,” Rodgers said. “He might not be in yet, but that’s where he’s going.”
Rodgers and the Steelers have spent the week preparing for the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, who already has four sacks and eight quarterback hits this season.

“He’s one of the few players in the league over my 21 years that you game plan for,” Rodgers said. “You watch the film, and every team has a plan. There’s been a few guys over the years — not many — there’s been a few guys over the years like that.”
Rodgers noted that he was in a similar spot when his New York Jets played T.J. Watt and the Steelers last season. The Jets focused on keeping him in check, but Watt recorded two quarterback hits in a 37-15 Steelers win.
“Myles is a special talent, has been since his first year in the league,” Rodgers said. “He’s a game wrecker.”
Rodgers and Garrett should both be Canton-bound one day. The Browns star has 106.5 sacks since joining the NFL in 2017, trailing only Watt’s 111 during that timeframe. He’s finished four of the last five seasons as a first-team All-Pro, and the Browns boast the league’s No. 2 defense this season despite their 1-4 record.
