Steelers Take Hilarious Shot At Vikings After Week 4 Victory

Pittsburgh earned a 24-21 win over Minnesota on Sunday

The Pittsburgh Steelers took a long trip to Dublin, Ireland, for their Week 4 contest against the Minnesota Vikings, but they made their travels worthwhile by picking up a 24-21 victory on Sunday morning. And in the wake of their third win of the year, the Steelers made sure to take an extra shot at the Vikings on Monday.

For much of the game, Pittsburgh controlled the action, and while Minnesota nearly managed to put together a late rally, the defense was able to hold on and shut them down late in the fourth quarter. The offense hummed, even without starting running back Jaylen Warren, and the defense had Carson Wentz running for his life for most of the game.

Wins are hard to come by in the NFL, especially when they take place across the world in a European country, so you can expect the team to be excited to have taken down Minnesota. On Monday, Pittsburgh made sure to get one last jab in at their Week 4 opponent before turning the page to Week 5.

The Steelers took a picture from the popular television show “SpongeBob SquarePants” that sees SpongeBob dressed up as a Viking. In the photo posted on the team’s official X account, though, SpongeBob has a Steelers hat photoshopped over his Viking helmet, making it a fairly sly jab.

With the win, Pittsburgh has taken control of the AFC North division, although that could change if the Cincinnati Bengals pull out a win over the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. Only four games have been played, though, so the standings don’t mean much for the time being. Instead, the Steelers will enjoy their bye week before turning their attention to Week 6.
