The Pittsburgh Steelers set several records in their 24-21 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers played a key role in achieving them.
Wide receiver DK Metcalf caught an 80-yard touchdown pass at the beginning of the second quarter, setting the record for the longest touchdown ever in an NFL international game.
The 80-yard touchdown not only secured Rodgers a spot in the history books for the longest touchdown in an NFL international game, but he also set the record for the most plays of 50-plus yards in NFL history.
Rodgers has now recorded 91 plays of 50 yards or more in his NFL career, surpassing former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
Reporters asked Rodgers after the game how it feels to reach milestones at the back end of his career.

“It’s the twilight of my career,” Rodgers said Sunday. “I wouldn’t say backend. I used to say five to six years ago, I was on the back nine, but I’m teeing off on 18 right now.”
Rodgers appears to be closing in on the final chapter of his NFL career this season with the Steelers. He could still reach a few career milestones in the upcoming 13 games.
