Report: Steelers RB ‘Expected To Play’ Week 4 Vs. Vikings

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren was listed as limited on the team’s Friday injury report due to a knee issue.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday, however, that the fourth-year pro is likely to suit up when the Steelers play the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 on Sunday in Ireland.

“Steelers RB Jaylen Warren, who was added to the injury report on Friday with a knee injury, is expected to play Sunday in Dublin vs. the Vikings, per league source,” Schefter wrote on X. “But Steelers also elevated RB Trey Sermon today from their practice squad.”

Warren is in his first season as Pittsburgh’s starter after the team saw former Pro Bowl running back Najee Harris sign with the Los Angeles Chargers in March.

The 26-year-old inked a two-year contract extension with the Steelers over the offseason and has recorded 43 carries for 132 scoreless yards through three games in 2025 while adding 11 receptions for 142 yards and one touchdown.

Warren and Pittsburgh’s 31st-ranked rushing offense will look to take advantage of Minnesota’s short-handed defense, which is set to be without Pro Bowl linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.
