The Minnesota Vikings will be without one of their top defenders when they play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4 on Sunday morning in Ireland.
Minnesota released its injury report on Friday, ruling out four players, including Pro Bowl linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.
“#MINvsPIT final injury report OUT: Donovan Jackson, J.J. McCarthy, Andrew Van Ginkel and Ben Yurosek,” the Vikings official account posted on X.
The 30-year-old didn’t practice all week due to a neck injury.

Van Ginkel is tied for the team lead in both passes defended (two) and sacks (2.0), despite missing Week 2. The Wisconsin product picked up both of his passes defended during the Vikings’ Week 1 win against the Chicago Bears and recorded his first two sacks of the year in Week 3 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals.
Van Ginkel signed with Minnesota in March 2024 after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins.
He had his best season in 2024, registering career highs in tackles (79), tackles for loss (18), sacks (11.5) and interceptions (two), along with a pair of pick-sixes.
The Steelers defense will face veteran journeyman quarterback Carson Wentz during the 2025 NFL Dublin Game on Sunday, with starting signal-caller J.J. McCarthy nursing an ankle injury.
