Steelers’ Week 4 Opponent Leaps Past Them In Power Rankings

The Steelers play in the 2025 NFL Dublin Game in Week 4

The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up a big win in Week 3 vs. the New England Patriots.

The victory was enough to move the Steelers from 17th to 15th in The Athletic’s Week 4 NFL Power Rankings.

Their Week 4 opponents (the Minnesota Vikings), however, had an even bigger jump on the list, going from 22nd to 14th following their 48-10 rout over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Minnesota’s leap eight spots in the rankings was the second-best in the NFL this week, only trailing the Carolina Panthers, who went from 31st to 21st.

“Kevin O’Connell picked up Carson Wentz four weeks ago, and even with limited practice reps and basically no training camp, Wentz guided the Vikings to a blowout win while throwing for two touchdowns and averaging 8.7 yards per pass,” the article, written by Chad Graff and Josh Kendall, said.

The Steelers and Vikings square off in the 2025 NFL Dublin Game at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday in Ireland.

“The Steelers have no running game, and again, they couldn’t get that phase of the offense working even against a struggling Patriots defense,” the article said. “So Aaron Rodgers casually threw a pair of touchdown passes on a day the unit was mostly stagnant.”
