After authoring a thrilling 34-32 comeback win in Week 1 against the New York Jets, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a game to forget in Week 2, dropping their home opener 31-17 to the Seattle Seahawks. The Steelers blew a 14-7 halftime lead and collapsed in the fourth quarter, yielding 17 points as the Seahawks pulled away.
After throwing four touchdowns and no interceptions in his Pittsburgh debut, Aaron Rodgers was considerably worse in his second game with his new team, completing just 54.5% of his passes for 203 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against a rugged Seahawks defense.
Rodgers did have a notable highlight in the second quarter, however, connecting with DK Metcalf for a go-ahead two-yard touchdown pass. It was the 508th TD pass of Rodgers’ career, tying former Green Bay Packers teammate and Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre for the fourth-most in NFL history.
Only Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571) and Peyton Manning (539) have more.

Rodgers served as Favre’s backup with the Packers during the first three years of his career from 2005 to 2007 before replacing him in 2008. Rodgers won four NFL MVPs and a Super Bowl in 18 seasons with Green Bay, racking up a franchise-record 475 touchdown passes before being traded to the New York Jets in 2023.
With five touchdown passes already this year, Rodgers has a chance to catch Manning on the all-time list this year if he stays healthy. He turns 42 in December, however, so it’s unclear how much longer he’ll be able to keep playing at a high level.
