Steelers Defender ‘100% Agrees’ He Will Skyrocket In 2025

'I want to be out there'

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Payton Wilson has no shortage of confidence…

Wilson, who is entering his second season with the organization, successfully proved he could stay healthy in his rookie season, posting 78 total tackles, three tackles for loss and an interception across 17 games in 2025. It’s not about being on the field entering his second season, though. It’s about thriving on it.

Malik Harrison, his teammate, told reporters the sophomore was “going to skyrocket” on Tuesday.

Wilson, a few days after proclaiming himself “one of the better cover linebackers in the world,” agreed.

“I mean, I 100% agree with him,” Wilson said on Tuesday, according to TribLive. “… I want to be out there with (Patrick Queen) every single snap… I want to be able to say that I gave it everything that I completely had, (that) the coaches trusted me fully, and I (that) played the whole game.”
