Aaron Rodgers wants peace and quiet at Pittsburgh Steelers camp — and that includes some unconventional bathroom boundaries.
The veteran quarterback is suiting up for what might be his final NFL training camp, but his focus extends beyond the field.
Rodgers and wideout DK Metcalf are rooming together in adjacent dorms at Saint Vincent College, connected by a shared bathroom. And one of the first things Rodgers made clear? No flushing at night.
“The toilet is super loud,” Metcalf said per The Daily Mail, adding that Rodgers asked him to hold off on flushing during overnight hours to avoid waking him.
Metcalf did not argue.

“I was like, ‘All right, bet.’”
The duo has already developed a shorthand. When Metcalf needed a late-night trip to the bathroom, he shot Rodgers a text: “You asleep yet?” Rodgers replied no, and Metcalf gave him a heads-up before flushing. It is not exactly standard training camp protocol, but it is working — at least off the field.
Rodgers called the arrangement ideal, saying he was “secretly hoping it wasn’t a big lineman” sharing the suite. Metcalf admitted he was caught off guard by the setup at first, even mistaking Rodgers’ knock for someone at the front door.
“I did not think I was going to have a roommate,” he said. “But glad to see you too, Aaron.”

That early bond could prove crucial. Rodgers’ first throw of camp was picked off — intended for Metcalf, no less. But the four-time MVP took it in stride and praised the chemistry he and Metcalf built during offseason workouts.
Now they will continue that work — across the hall, through the bathroom wall, and without the sound of a 3 a.m. flush.
