Aaron Rodgers was forced to make an uncomfortable change when he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers.
No, we aren’t talking about moving houses, learning a new playbook or even making friends with his new teammates. The NFL essentially banned the helmet he’d previously been using, so he’s trying to find a new one.
Rodgers is currently rocking a Schutt Air XP Pro VTD II with a custom F7 facemask and a two-point cloth chinstrap, according to Helmet Stalker on X. Rodgers previously used a Schutt Air XP Q11 with an OPO-SW facemask with the New York Jets in 2024, but that helmet is no longer being manufactured and tested in the “not recommended” category of legacy helmets on the NFL/NFLPA helmet rankings for 2025.
Does any of this matter? No, but the veteran clearly has strong opinions on the matter.

“I can’t stand the helmet,” Rodgers told reporters at minicamp, referring to the Schutt F7 Pro, as shared by NFL Media’s Mike Garofolo.
It’s looking like he finally settled on one, though, so the Steelers won’t have to worry about another Antonio Brown situation.
