The Pittsburgh Pirates will have a new look in their weekend series with the Arizona Diamondbacks at PNC Park.
Pittsburgh has limitless (three, so technically there is a limit) options to choose from during any given home game, but will be given a new accessory to work with thanks to an initiative by Major League Baseball.
MLB introduced special hats on Friday that commemorate the National Baseball Hall of Fame, with every single team being given a different design to wear on the weekend that Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner will be inducted in Cooperstown, N.Y.
The Pirates have already announced they’ll wear a special jersey patch for the rest of the season to honor late Hall of Fame outfielder Dave Parker, who passed away on June 28 at the age of 74.
