Ravens Wide Receiver Uses Two Words To Describe Jalen Ramsey

Ramsey has quite a reputation across the NFL

The Pittsburgh Steelers pulled off a stunning blockbuster trade when they acquired Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith in a deal with the Miami Dolphins on June 30. In the process, the team gave themselves a true lockdown cornerback, who also carries quite a reputation with him.

Ever since being selected with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Ramsey has been one of the top cornerbacks in the league. He’s a seven-time Pro Bowler who’s been selected to the All-Pro First Team three times, while also helping the Los Angeles Rams defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.

Even though he wasn’t selected for the Pro Bowl for only the second time in his career last year, Ramsey remains a feared cornerback across the league. So much so that when Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman was asked to describe Ramsey, he only needed two words to do so.

“Trash talk,” Bateman said of Ramsey in the NFL’s ranking of the top 100 players entering the 2025 season, where Ramsey came in at No. 66.

Ramsey racked up 60 tackles, two interceptions, 11 passes batted, and one sack in 17 games with the Dolphins last season. Now, he’s set to join a cornerback room that features fellow veteran Darius Slay and up-and-coming star Joey Porter Jr., giving the Steelers a deadly trio in their secondary.

No matter where he goes, Ramsey is going to talk trash, and that figures to be true now that he’s in Pittsburgh. If he can rediscover his Pro Bowl form in 2025, that will make the Steelers all the more difficult to beat as they look to go on a deep playoff run after a busy offseason of work.
