Steelers Newcomer Has Hilarious Take On Training Camp Location

'It looks like a Harry Potter world'

The Pittsburgh Steelers have held training camp at Saint Vincent College since 1966.

Darius Slay still sounded surprised about the location, though.

Slay, who signed with the club this offseason, talked about preparing for the three-week foray on the latest episode of “The Richard Sherman Podcast.”

“They said we go to somewhere called it looks like a Harry Potter world or something,” Slay said, as transcribed by Steelers Depot. “I remember me going down there when my first joint practice I ever had was in 2015. We went down there and went to Pittsburgh. We went to some crazy D-II school or something, and they had dorm rooms and all that. I heard we were in dorm rooms and all kinds of crazy stuff, man. I’m like, ‘This is probably worse than college, how this is sounding.'”

It doesn’t sound like he’s too excited, does it?

Slay did reiterate that he was willing to buy into whatever traditions come with being a Steeler. It’s just not his first choice, and rightfully so.
