Safe to say there’s no love lost between Raheem Mostert and the Miami Dolphins.
Mostert on Monday afternoon weighed in on the blockbuster trade which sent cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh parted ways with defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick and a late-round pick swap will benefit Miami, as well.
The deal apparently didn’t sit well with Mostert, who played the last three seasons in Miami before he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in March. The veteran running back earned Pro Bowl honors in 2023 after setting career-highs in attempts (209), rushing yards (1,012) and touchdowns (18). He then played 13 games with one start in 2024.
“Hot take: Be a Pro-Bowler on the Dolphins, get treated like (expletive),” Mostert wrote on X. “Happy for my guys though! GO BALL OUT!!”
Smith is coming off a 2024 season in which he earned a Pro Bowl nod. The 29-year-old set career highs in receptions (88), targets (111), receiving yards (884) and touchdowns (eight).

Ramsey also earned a Pro Bowl nod during his first season with the Dolphins in 2023. The 2016 first-round pick is a seven-time Pro Bowler in his career.
Chances are those in Pittsburgh won’t be as irritated as Mostert. After all, the Steelers added another veteran star to their defense in Ramsey and a pass-catching threat who is coming off a career year in Smith.
