Steelers Acquire Another Star Alongside Jalen Ramsey In Dolphins Trade

Jonnu Smith, too!?

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins like doing business with one another, huh?

Pittsburgh and Miami executed a gigantic blockbuster trade with one another on Monday, with the former landing a pair of Pro Bowl talents in cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith.

Ramsey’s addition was confirmed by the man himself, and came just minuted before news dropped that his teammate would be making the trip up north alongside him.

NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero provided full terms of the deal, which was initially believed to be separate, but ultimately saw everything rolled into one of the biggest trades in recent memory. The Steelers will receive Ramsey, Smith and a seventh-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, while the Dolphins land safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a fifth-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Smith will receive a one-year, $12 million extension as part of the trade, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Smith was long connected to Pittsburgh, as it became clear he wouldn’t be sticking long-term in Miami. The Steelers now reconnect him with former offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who helped develop into a sought-after talent on the free agent market several years back. Ramsey is a pretty decent player to match with him in the deal, too.
