Kenny Pickett doesn’t appear to look fondly upon his tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pickett has bounced around throughout his short career, spending his first two seasons with the Steelers after being selected by the organization in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Pittsburgh would go on to trade him to the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the start of last season, where he won a Super Bowl before getting flipped to the Cleveland Browns.
It’s expected that the 26-year-old will have a chance to compete for the starting job in Cleveland, which is why he was asked if any previous experiences could help in his battle on Wednesday.
“I’m extremely grateful for my time in Philly,” Pickett told reporters, via Browns insider Scott Petrak. “I just was shown how it’s supposed to be done, really, from the top down. So you get a chance to see what it’s supposed to look like and how it should look on a day-to-day basis, not just on Sundays. I think that will pay dividends for me in my future.”
No, he never mentioned Pittsburgh.

The Steelers didn’t necessarily need to be mentioned, but that is the only place he’s been the full-time starter — an opportunity they gave him after making him a first-round pick. The Eagles just let him ride the pine all the way to a ring… which now that we think about it, might be the coolest thing a franchise can do for a player.
