Safe to say Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw won’t be thrilled if Aaron Rodgers wears his old number and represents his former team.
The Hall of Fame quarterback, who spent his entire 14-year career in Pittsburgh, criticized the organization for its pursuit of Rodgers. The four-time NFL MVP remains a free agent while the Steelers host organized team activities (OTAs) this week.
“That’s a joke. That, to me, is just a joke,” Bradshaw said on the “Morning Mayhem” radio show in Pittsburgh. “What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.”
Bradshaw isn’t a fan of Rodgers personally, either.
“I had to go over and introduce myself to him — I had to go, ‘Hey, Aaron, I’m Terry Bradshaw.’ I know he knows me, but I just felt like I better tell him who I am,” Bradshaw said. “You get in his presence and you feel like it’s going to start snowing.”

Unfortunately for Bradshaw and others who don’t want Rodgers in the Steel City, it appears that’s the direction it’s headed. During a public appearance over the weekend, Rodgers hinted that he’d sign with the Steelers, who reportedly are optimistic about their standing in the pursuit.
