NFL Coach ‘Fully Expects’ Aaron Rodgers To Sign With This Team

Rodgers' former coach believes it's going to be the Steel City

Count Matt LaFleur among those who believe Aaron Rodgers will end up in the Steel City.

The Green Bay Packers head coach, who spent four seasons with Rodgers, said he hasn’t chatted with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin or offensive coordinator Arthur Smith about the four-time NFL MVP. However, LaFleur is assuming those in Pittsburgh are content with the approach Rodgers has taken this offseason.

“I haven’t heard from either of those guys in regards to him (Rodgers),” LaFleur told Kay Adams during an appearance on the “Up & Adams” show Wednesday. “I’m pretty sure they know what they’re doing, I’m sure they’re confident in what they’re doing, and I would fully expect him to be a Pittsburgh Steeler.”

Should LaFleur’s suspicions turn out to be true, Rodgers will face the Packers in a primetime game Oct. 26 — a schedule that indicates those in the league office agree with LaFleur.
