The Steelers hoped there would be no more pushes of the tushes.
Pittsburgh reportedly voted in favor of Green Bay’s proposal to ban the well-known “Tush Push,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Multiple reports since confirmed the Steel City’s stance.
The proposal, however, came up two votes shy of the 24 it needed in order to ban the Philadelphia Eagles’ most successful play. Team who voted against the ban included the Eagles, Ravens, Browns, Lions, Jaguars, Dolphins, Patriots, Saints, Jets and Titans, according to Schefter.
The Steelers will not face the Eagles during the 2025 campaign, but it’s fair to think Philadelphia won’t soon forget the teams who voted with Green Bay and Pittsburgh.
