Steelers Sign Three Players, Reveal New Jersey Numbers

Trey Sermon will wear No. 27

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed three players to fill out the active roster last week, but the work didn’t stop there.

Steelers equipment manager Adam Regan had to get them outfitted.

Pittsburgh assigned running backs Trey Sermon and Max Hurleman, as well as offensive tackle Gareth Warren, some new jersey numbers Tuesday. Sermon will wear No. 27, Hurleman will wear No. 34 and Warren will wear No. 69.

Sermon, 26, is the lone veteran of the group, having previously spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts. Hurleman, 23, and Warren, 21, will enter training camp as rookie free agents.
