The Pittsburgh Steelers took another quarterback option on the heels of a national championship in Ohio State quarterback Will Howard.
Pittsburgh’s sixth-round draft pick enters a quarterback room still going through uncertainties following the free-agent departures of 2024 options in Justin Fields and Russell Wilson. Howard will be in the mix in his first year as a professional as the Steelers seek another playoff berth in the competitive AFC North division.
Howard did go through a rookie tradition and showed off his first look in Steelers colors over the weekend at the NFLPA Premiere event. The 6-foot-4 quarterback appeared to tower over other rookies in early returns.
