The Pittsburgh Pirates played their first game Friday night since the organization dismissed manager Derek Shelton on Thursday.

The Pirates moved forward when they welcomed the Atlanta Braves to PNC Park for a three-game series. Manager Don Kelly stepped to the helm, looking to steer Pittsburgh back on track, particularly with the bats. Bailey Falter gets the ball as the Pirates look to start 1-0 under Kelly.
