George Pickens is likely to remain in the Steel City.
That seems to be the case given the Steelers opted not to trade Pickens during the 2025 NFL Draft. Now, trading Pickens before the start of the 2025 campaign likely would result in a 2026 draft pick and thus be no value to Pittsburgh’s current group.
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini painted that picture during the “Scoop City” podcast released Tuesday.
“I can just tell you, right before the draft and during the draft (the Steelers) we calling around, teams were calling them, there were conversations flying around about George Pickens,” Russini said. “But I think it’s probably at this point not going to be something we see happen.”
The Dallas Cowboys were among the teams involved in trade discussions, per Russini.
