The 2022 second-rounder looks improved to start this season in Double-A Altoona. He struck out six Somerset Patriots in his latest start in five scoreless innings. The Pirates prospect is yet to allow an earned run through 13 innings across the three starts with 14 strikeouts.

Barco could find his way to Triple-A Indianapolis in the coming months to join Chandler and Harrington at the final step before the big leagues with the Pirates.
