NFL Draft Rumors: Steelers Not High On This QB Prospect

Jalen Milroe might not be on Pittsburgh's board

While it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Steelers select a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, there’s apparently one specific signal-caller Pittsburgh isn’t high on.

The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo on Monday published a story breaking down Pittsburgh’s best QB options and in doing so included a nugget on Jalen Milroe.

“Even though the Steelers went to dinner with Milroe before the Alabama pro day, I’ve heard the team isn’t especially high on him,” DeFabo wrote. “I’ll go out on a limb and say I’d be surprised if they draft him, even in the third round. Though his athleticism is awfully enticing, can he overcome his inaccuracies to be a productive starter?”

The Alabama product is ranked as QB5 in Dane Brugler’s “The Beast” draft guide. Brugler projects Milroe will be selected on Day 2.
