Shedeur Sanders seemingly felt at home in Pittsburgh.
Sanders, the consensus No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft class, recently met with the Steelers on a pre-draft visit. The Colorado product caught up with Kay Adams before leaving Pittsburgh, and in doing so, he revealed his biggest takeaway from spending time with Mike Tomlin and company.
“I understand the mindset and why they win a lot,” Sanders said on Thursday’s “Up & Adams” show. “…Just how he (Tomlin) is as a person, the values that the team has. What he preaches to his staff down, it’s similar to my dad.”
Sanders also was asked to grade his overall performance when he was in Pittsburgh, and the ever-confident signal-caller unsurprisingly gave himself “a 10.”
The Steelers’ QB situation remains a complete mystery any way you slice it. The storied franchise appears to be the likeliest landing spot for Aaron Rodgers, but the future Pro Football Hall of Famer clearly is in no rush to make a decision about his football future. It’s also unclear if Sanders will be available when Tomlin and company go on the clock in Round 1 of the draft at No. 21 overall.
