Watch Pirates’ Joey Bart Walk It Off Against Cardinals

Raise the Jolly Roger!

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller secured quite a milestone on Wednesday.

Keller struck out six batters during his start against the St. Louis Cardinals, one of which happened to be the 700th of his career. Pedro Pages had the unfortunate distinction of being the man to fan, waving at and missing a nasty slider in the top of the sixth inning

You can see the moment here.

Keller was superb throughout the outing, going seven scoreless innings against a solid lineup. The Pirates couldn’t get him any run support, though, until they showed up in a big way in the 12th and 13th innings. Tommy Pham kept the game alive with an RBI single in the 12th, before Joey Bart put it away one inning later with the weirdest single you’ll ever see.

Bart’s mammoth single can be found here.
