Bubba Chandler added another outstanding tab to his resume as he pursue a big-league call-up with the Pittsburgh Pirates this season.
Pittsburgh’s No. 1 prospect made his second start of the season in Triple-A and excelled Tuesday night. He allowed just one hit across four scoreless innings with just one walk and eight strikeouts against the Louisville Bats. Chandler continues a strong stretch after an exceptional outing in MLB’s Spring Breakout Game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Chandler made seven starts in Triple-A last season with a sub-2.00 ERA to close out his season of development in the Pirates system.
Thomas Harrington already got the call for the Pirates this season and Chandler shouldn’t be too far behind.
