The Pittsburgh Steelers, who still await answers regarding the future of their quarterback situation, added to their defensive depth Thursday when they retained cornerback James Pierre on a one-year contract, per a team release.
Pittsburgh picked up Pierre in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. He tallied 117 total tackles and three interceptions across 81 career games for the Steelers. He earned playoff appearances on Mike Tomlin’s squad in four of those five seasons and hopes to push Pittsburgh again in what should be a revamped AFC North division again in 2025.
Now, the Steelers’ focus shifts back to a pair of veteran quarterbacks, who each have decisions to make.
