NFL Draft Expert Predicts Steelers Select Rising QB In Latest Mock

Daniel Jeremiah has Jaxson Dart to Pittsburgh at 21st overall

The 2025 NFL Draft quarterback prospect pool is scarce, and multiple signal-callers are likely to be off the board when the Steelers are on the clock.

But that doesn’t mean Pittsburgh can’t address the position with its first-round selection.

NFL Media draft expert Daniel Jeremiah released his post-free agency mock draft Tuesday and predicted the Steelers go the QB route. Jeremiah has Pittsburgh turning in the card of Ole Miss product Jaxson Dart at 21st overall.

“The Steelers’ plan at quarterback is not completely clear at the moment,” Jeremiah wrote. “Even if they were to land 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers, they would still need a long-term option at the position, so they take another swing here with Dart.”

Dart is considered the be the third-best quarterback in the class behind clear-cut No. 1 Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. Jeremiah projected Ward to be the No. 1 overall pick and Sanders not far behind at third overall.

Dart has been a fast-riser during the pre-draft process and now, especially with the lack of QB depth in the class, those around the league believe he will be a first-round pick.
