Aaron Rodgers continues to hold the NFL world in the palm of his hand.
The four-time NFL MVP reportedly has the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings all waiting on his decision in free agency. The trickle-down effect thus impacts every free-agent quarterback trying to sign with any of those three teams.
Well, Pittsburgh apparently is back in communication with Rodgers.
The Steelers spoke to Rodgers after not having communication for “several days,” according to a report Tuesday morning from Sports Illustrated’s Noah Strackbein. Strackbein did not say whether there was progress made on a potential partnership in Pittsburgh, however.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Sunday that Rodgers has “standing offers” from the Steelers and Giants.

The Athletic reported Saturday that Rodgers is “hoping” to sign with the Vikings, pairing him with Coach of the Year Kevin O’Connell as Minnesota weighs how 2024 first-rounder J.J. McCarthy will recover from a torn ACL. If Minnesota is not an option, The Athletic reported Rodgers could turn down both the Steelers and Giants and opt to retire.
Pittsburgh might then be forced to roll with Mason Rudolph given Russell Wilson has gained interest from other teams.
