With his next move still a mystery, Aaron Rodgers is at the center of the NFL waiting game, and he is in complete control on his ongoing free agency saga.
Three teams appear to be in the running to land the four-time MVP — the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers. So, which team would be the best fit for the 41-year-old signal caller?
ESPN’s Ben Solak analyzed the probability of each potential suitor, and the Steelers landed in the middle.
“The Steelers job has some good — DK Metcalf and George Pickens form an exciting, albeit volatile, pass-catching duo — and some bad,” Solak wrote in a report released Friday. “There are pass-protection questions all along a young and inexperienced offensive line, and the general offensive philosophy is cautious, as the team prefers to win with its defense.
“If Rodgers wants to chase career statistical milestones, Pittsburgh might not be the place. But if he wants to win playoff games, this is his best shot.”

Solak believes the Vikings are the best landing spot for Rodgers, but added current quarterback J.J. McCarthy is also a good fit for Minnesota. The Giants, according to Solak, would actually be more of an option if the Steelers or Vikings don’t pan out for Rodgers.
