DK Metcalf was officially introduced as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday.
Pittsburgh acquired the seventh-year wide receiver along with a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft last week, sending away second-round and seventh-round picks in this year’s draft to the Seattle Seahawks.
The Steelers are undoubtedly excited about obtaining his services, but there has been some second-guessing from folks regarding who will be throwing the 27-year-old the ball during his first season in Pittsburgh. Metcalf doesn’t seem too concerned, though.
“They made me feel like they had the right decision with who was going to be throwing me the football,” Metcalf said of his initial conversations with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Omar Khan and owner Art Rooney, per ESPN. “I’m not making the decision in the quarterback room, so I’m just going to try to do the best of my abilities to help whoever they have out there throwing the football. They make the correct decisions to bring the quarterback in here. I’m just going to roll with that.”
Metcalf immediately locked himself in with the organization after being traded, agreeing to a five-year, $150 million contract as part of the deal.

Pittsburgh is stuck with Metcalf. Metcalf is stuck in Pittsburgh. It doesn’t seem like either side minds, though.
