NFL Rumors: Under-The-Radar Suitor For Potential Steelers Target

Pittsburgh could have competition for Aaron Rodgers

The Steelers are viewed as a favorite to sign Aaron Rodgers, but Pittsburgh isn’t alone in its pursuit.

NFL insider Michael Silver on Tuesday floated the Minnesota Vikings as a landing spot for the veteran quarterback.

“Don’t rule out Aaron Rodgers and the Vikings,” Silver wrote on X after Vikings backup Daniel Jones reportedly agreed to terms with the Colts.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday reported Rodgers emerged as a quarterback option in Pittsburgh. Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio on Monday night reported the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers could reach an agreement “as soon as Tuesday” after talks “accelerated.”

The Giants also are thought to be in play for Rodgers, who then wouldn’t have to leave New York.
