NFL Analyst Views Steelers As ‘Ideal’ Fit For Prospect After Najee Harris Exit

Pittsburgh likely would have to trade up Ashton Jeanty

The Steelers need to bolster their running back room after Najee Harris reportedly agreed to terms with the Chargers.

ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky believes one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft would do just that.

“Steelers are the ideal Ashton Jeanty team,” Orlovsky wrote on X on Tuesday.

Jeanty landing in the Steel City might require Mike Tomlin’s team to trade up the board from No. 21 overall, though. The Boise State product not only is the best running back in the class, but one of the team prospects regardless of position.

NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah ranked Jeanty his No. 3 prospect last week while The Athletic’s Dane Brugler ranked Jeanty fifth on his top 100 prospect list.
